The total import and export value of Jiaxing’s fastener saw a year-on-year decrease of 7.78% to USD 452 million, of which, the export value dropped by 21.43% to USD 441 million and the import value decline by 27.97% to USD 11 million.

Main characteristics of Jiaxing’s fastener export in 1st half of 2013:

America, EU, and Russia are the dominant export markets. The export to three markets was USD 242 million, taking up 54.87% of the totals. Among of that, the export to America down 30.93% year-on-year to USD 97 million, the export to EU down 24.29% to USD 79 million, and the export to Russia down 2.16% to 66 million, accounting for 21.90%, 17.97%, and 15.04% of the totals’ respectively.

The number of large-scale export enterprises decreases. There are only eight enterprises whose export value was above USD 10 million, three enterprises less from same period of last year. Among of that, seven enterprises’ export value showed differential decrease, with the largest fall of 37.81%.

General trade is the main modes of trade. The fasteners exported in the mode of general trade were USD 415 million, taking up 94.01% of the total export value.

Both the export volume and the export price go down. The export volume, value and average price of Jiaxing’s fasteners declined by 1.55% to 332,716 tons, 21.43% to USD 441 million, and 5.8% to 1,325.4 USD/TON. The average export price was 1,406.3 USD/TON in the same period of last year.
