Since the launch of "reform and open up" policy and our entry into the WTO for 5 years, the fastener industry in China has seen dramatic development, which makes China top one in the terms of fastener output. For almost 10 years, with the introduction of advanced equipments, production technique and management methods through cooperation with foreign counterparts, we obtain a lot of experience and reinforce the personnel, as a result of which the overall level of Chinese fastener industry has come into a new grade.
However, regarding to the product development and core technology, we are still in lack of self-independence, self-research and innovation ability. At present, almost all multinational automobile companies and fastener companies have edged in and nibbled Chinese market by all possible means, and are on their way to solidify their market base by using advanced technology, which put huge challenges to the self-development of domestic fastener industry. Our domestic players must be well prepared, or we will lose the ground to win the game!
Nowadays, with the better understanding of the fastener level, more and more industry insiders have realized that no matter how advanced technology we are applying, if the ideology of " obtaining technology at the cost of market" is still adopted, we will be highly relied on foreign countries, meaning once they put an end to the supply chain, we will find no way to survive. The scale of domestic fastener industry has come into a new level, and the key point for the time being is to seek new opportunities and improve ourselves. Reducing the reliance on others and making breakthrough in some key technologies are what we will do and should do !
As far as the long-term growth is concerned, Chinese fastener market, with no doubt, is the most dynamic market with the most growing potential. In the past year, some companies, private or national, only cared about short-term interest, and many of them still preferred to take the shortcut. With the new year to come, thinking with caution has not become a common approach yet. It will do a lot of good to our fastener industry, if more domestic companies are willing to think about how their next step will be taken and how their right direction will be made. By means of this, our domestic fastener industry is sure to be stronger and stronger, and the realization of "Invented in China" from "Made in China" is just a matter of time!
