China’s Baosteel Co. Medium and Heavy Plate Branch has announced to cut its prices by RMB150/ton for certain medium plate in January.

After the adjustment, the latest prices of Q235A medium plate in thickness of 14~20mm will be RMB3,250/ton; that of Q235A low alloy plate in thickness of 14~20mm will be RMB3,400/ton.

Also, the prices of Q245R boiler steel plate with thickness 14mm~20mm and Q345R grade will be RMB3,400/ton and RMB3,500/ton, respectively.

However, the company will hold its CCSA grade ship plate prices unchanged at RMB3,640/ton.

The above prices not include tax and will become effective on January 1st.
