RBC Bearings Acquires Sargent Aerospace

RBC Bearings completed its acquisition of Sargent Aerospace & Defense unit from Dover for $500 million.

Tuscon, AZ-based Sargent supplies specialty fasteners, seal rings and alignment joints, valves, actuators and specialty bearings to aerospace, submarine and automotive OEMs.

Sargent produces Sonic fasteners, specialty bolts, fuse pins and close-tolerance machined products for commercial and military aircraft. The company specializes in hot-forged, high strength threaded products manufactured from both standard and exotic materials.

Sargent employs more than 750 workers through six facilities in three countries, with annual revenues of $195 million. Web: sargentaerospace.com

Dover and RBC Bearings agreed to the deal in March.

RBC Bearings said Sargent's manufacturing processes and design expertise complement its existing capabilities.
