Herndon Products Inc. of O'Fallon, Mo., said Monday it has acquired MS Inserts & Fasteners Corp. and Thread Kits Co. to expand its supply chain management capability.

The deal includes 32,000 square feet of warehouse space in in Torrance, Calif.; Billerica, Mass., and Sedona, Ariz. The acquired firms will use the Herndon Products name.

Herndon is supplier of products and services to the aerospace and defense industries. The company said the latest deal furthers its goal to a reach a 50-50 balance of its customer bases.

MS Inserts served the aerospace industry for over 40 years as a fastener distribution. Thread Kits Co. supplied thread repair products since 1984. Herndon did not disclose terms of the acquisition.
