On March 29, the Annual Meeting of China’s Auto Part Production Base held in Longquan City, Zhejiang Province. At the meeting, Neijiang and other 7 cities were rated as the first batch of “National Excellent Production Base for Auto Parts”.

In 2010, Neijiang City has already been awarded as the only excellent production base for auto/motor parts in Sichuan Province, which lately passed the reexamination in 2014. It was indicated by Mr. Yu Wanming, General Secretary of Neijiang Machinery Parts Association, that the Machinery & Auto Parts Industry in Neijiang City has been well developed.

In 2007, the industrial value of Machinery & Auto Parts Industry in Neijiang City reached only 2.7 Billion CNY, while in 2008, it reached 5.07 Billion CNY. At present, the industrial value has rapidly increased to 35 Billion CNY, growing over 6 times over that of 2008. By the end of 2015, it was calculated that the machinery & auto part enterprises of scale reached the number of 92, involving a total asset of near 10 Billion CNY and the jobholder number of near 40,000.
