The trade surplus is USD 0.312 billion, while the trade surplus of the same period of last year was USD 0.36 billion and the surplus is narrower.

The above data shows that both quantity and value of China’s import and export fastener products go up substantially compared with that of the same quarter of last year. The fastener import and export of China are getting better little by little since the EU revoked the anti-dumping measure against China’s carbon-steel fasteners. The export quantity in the first quarter of 2017 reaches 0.6371 million tons, up 9 .1%.
The top five countries (or region) in China’s import fastener value in the first quarter are Japan, Germany, U.S.A, S. Korea, Taiwan Penghu Kinmen and Matsu. Among these countries, products imported from U.S.A have the highest average price, near USD 14,005 per ton. While the top five provinces in import fastener value in the first quarter are Shanghai, Jiangsu Province, Guangdong Province, Beijing and Jilin, of which the average price of imported products of Guangdong Province is the highest, about USD 12,775 per ton.

The top five countries (or region) in China’s export fastener value in the first quarter are U.S.A, Japan, Russia, S. Korea and Germany.
Among these countries, products exported to Japan have the highest average price, near USD 1,871 per ton. While the top five provinces in export fastener value in the first quarter are Zhejiang Province, Jiangsu Province, Guangdong Province, Shanghai and Shandong Province, of which the average price of exported products of Guangdong Province is the highest, about USD 3,548 per ton.

In a word, China’s fastener import and export are getting better in the first quarter of this year. The first season could not represent the whole year. The foreign trade situation of China is not optimistic. There are still some instabilities and uncertainties and there is no doubt that these difficulties will not end soon. Though with difficulities, we should still believe that the foreign trade of China’s fastener import and export could have a bright future.
