In July 2017, the newly-built factory of Jiangsu Washen at Chengnan Industrial Zone in Jingjiang City in Jiangsu Province was put into usage, covering an area of 10,000 square meters. The company is a new high-tech fastener company that supplies blind rivets & structural rivets specially to the automobile, mid/high voltage cabinet and household appliance industries. How is the company developing after the completion of the newly-built factory?

Our new plant came into running by the end of July 2017 and it’s expected that our production capacity will increase by near 80% in future. Up to December 2017, our company’s producing capacity has increased by 20% and the turnover rose by about 30% compared with 2016, despite that we spent several months completing our new factory and moving to it. What’s more, our sales in 2017 set a new record, reaching 80 million Yuan.

How did you adjust your management and operation after the factory came into service?

We are increasing the investment in high-end rivet manufacturing machines to replace out-dated ones. We aim at setting up a highly automated production system to produce blind rivets in an efficient way to save both time and labor. We have invested around 10 million Yuan this year, purchasing 6 sets of 5-die 5-blow machines, 20 sets of 3-die 3-blow machines, 4 sets of laser sorting machines, 10 sets of high-speed mandrel machines and 3 sets more of clamping machines. We also introduce the ERP management system for the new factory to improve our producing efficiency. At the same time, we recruit several professionals to engage in ISO/TS16949 system for automobile industry and new university graduates as reserve to refresh our company, which will speed up the development of our company.

Expanding plants could possibly lead to overcapacity or overstock. Do you have misgivings about the problem?

Producing capacity is always a bottleneck to the development of our company, that’s why we built a new factory to satisfy our market demands. We pay high attention to quality control and our blind rivets have been well accepted by all of our customers. Our clients and orders are increasing steadily all the way. Therefore, we are not worried about the overstock problem.

Does your company develop new product as the capacity increases?

Our company has been developing full-range blind rivets covering from 2.4 mm to 9.8 mm diameter. Nowadays, we have realized the mass production of 9.8 mm diameter Steel & Aluminum Hem-Firm Structural Rivets, 9.8 mm Steel & Aluminum Mono-lock Structural Rivets together with 7.8 mm diameter Aluminum, Steel & Stainless Steel Hem-Firm Structural Rivets, which are used to replace 2-way operation fasteners of the same kinds. Our high-strength structural rivets have many advantages such as high-speed, high-efficiency and stable, which help our clients to save labor costs and financial costs greatly.

What’s the plans of your company with such a great capacity?

Our company has put much efforts and investment in automobile rivets and our blind rivets have got more and more approval of customers in automobile industry. We will dedicate our part to the development of China automobile industry. What’s more, we follow the guidance of our government and invest enormous fund in purchasing environmental protection equipment to recycle resources. In the future, we will increase our producing capacity and put more efforts in R&D to automobile rivets to realize our target to be the Intel in Fastener Industry.
