Wenzhou Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau: nine fastener manufacturers have been prevented from export, which is the first time Wenzhou city has stopped fastener manufacturers from export.
There are more than 60 standard fastener manufacturers in Wenzhou, mainly spreading in Longwan, Leqing and Rui'an. Their products are exported to Mid-east, Russia and Africa, etc. Wenzhou Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau began to test the products of these manufacturers from this May, nine manufacturers failed in the test. The major problems were unconfirmed materials, errors in the size and tolerance quality. They were stopped from export according to some relative rules, two had been permitted to export again till yesterday after remedial measures.
Standard fasteners are widely used in furniture, construction and machinery, etc. therefore, high demands are placed on them. Staff of Wenzhou Entry-exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau suggest all the fastener manufacturers should strictly check the materials, size and tolerance quality, to avoid any inconvenience caused by the quality of products in export.
