As the German Industry 4.0 and China’s Made In China, 2025 are getting known by people, specialists from domestic and abroad analyzed and concluded that the keys to advanced manufacturing will be on 3D Printing, Big Data and Robots. One that holds these three keys can take a large share of the cake.
3D Printing
3D Printing is actually not a printing technique. Instead, it is a technology for manufacturing, which is as well named Material Increase Manufacturing.
Alliances and organizations in Europe and America tend to apply 3D Printing Technology in the field of manufacturing the key parts of planes and medical instruments. Besides, China Academy of Engineering pointed out that 3D Printing Technology can be applied to wearable devices, wearable electronic equipments, personal operation guide plates and other medical models.
What traditional handcraft couldn’t produce can easily be manufactured by 3D Printing. Material-saving and Cost-saving are the biggest advantages of 3D Printing, which allows it to be popularized around the world.
Big Data
Big data involves those huge data which couldn’t be captured, managed, and dealt with within reasonable time by normal software.
Director of NFC’s sub-institute—Industry-University Cooperative Research Center, Mr. Lee Jye indicated that the sources of Big Data include Connection, Cloud, Cyber, Content, Community, and Customization, which are called the 6 “C”s.
“The largest value of Big Data is that it can be used to found out the invisible problems and help solve them. China owns the largest application market with large amount of data, such as high-speed rail data, machine tools data, production line data, etc. Who can grasp and analyze these data will be the winner in the line. It is reported that USA will need another 190,000 data analyzing engineers while China, 1.9 million.” said Mr. Lee.
Robots
Not expansive and practical, that’s what the robot industry can’t reach at the moment, but will reach in the near future.
By far, robots are widely applied in various industry, which fact allows it to play an important role on reducing the pressure of personal shortage. It is said that the future developing destination of robots will be on improving their operation ability and intelligence, for sake of widely applying robots in varied industries.
By 2013, China exceeded Japan to be the largest robot market in the world. Sale volume of robot in 2013 reached to 36,000. It is predicted that China will have over 400,000 industrial robots by 2017. Such a huge market catches the eyes of global robot manufacturers.
