Fastenal’s July sales rise 20 percent

Net sales for Fastenal rose 20.2 percent in July to $208.2 million, compared with $173.1 million during the same period last year.
 
The Winona, Minn.-based fastener and MRO distributor said it opened eight new stores during the month, taking its total to 2,280. Fastenal employed more than 13,000 workers as of the end of July.
 
The company ranked ninth on INDSUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION’s 2008 Big 50 list of distributors, with 2008 sales of $2.1 billion.
 
Fastenal was founded in 1967 in Winona, MN by company Chairman, Bob Kierlin.now it is  the largest fastener distributor in USA.
