United States International Trade Commission (USITC) approves to impose more than 118% ant-dumping tax on steel nail exported from China which value more than 0.45 billion USD.

Reports say this decision means U.S. Department of Commerce has cleaned the way for the final anti-dumping tax decision. The preliminary tax project is underway. Steel nail manufacturers union and trade unions from Missouri, California, Florida, Illinois and Pennsylvania applied for import relief, in order to be against China and the United Arab Emirates imports.

According to U.S. Department of Commerce’ decision made on June, the United Arab Emirates producers did not constitute "dumping", while Chinese manufacturers did. China exports steel nail to USA market with a price 21.24%-118.04% lower than USA domestic price.

According to U.S. government data, the export value from China to USA Chinese comes to 0.454 billion USD in 2007, 0.379 billion USD more than that in 2005, which nearly covers 50% of the total steel nail consumption in USA.
