The 105th China Import and Export Fair opened on 15, April, 2009 to again bridge buyers and suppliers in Guangzhou, capital city of south China's Guangdong province. Also known as Canton Fair, it is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, the Guangdong provincial government and the China Foreign Trade Center, and co-sponsored by the Qinghai provincial government.
The first phase of Canton fair is for hardware and tools, lasting for 5 days (15-19, April 2009). Nearly 80 Chinese fastener suppliers exhibited in the first phrase, such as QB Fasteners Factory, Dongtai, Special Rivets Corp, Grand Industries Co., Ltd., Wuxi Anshida Hardware, and so on, hoping to obtain more business and explore new market’ . ChinaFastener Magazine (www.chinafastener.com) was also exhibited in the first phase of Canton fair. Anthony, Project manager, Ella, Editor, and Ally, Sale consultant attended the show and went deep into Chinese Fastener exhibitors and global fastener buyers.
Despite of global financial crisis and EU fastener antidumping, the first phase of Canton fair still have attracted a lot of global fastener buyers, coming from Japan, Korea, Middle East South America and so on. Chinese fastener suppliers are still holding optimistic attitude towards the global fastener market. “Although it is really a hard time for Chinese fastener suppliers at this moment, I am quite confident about the whole market and I am sure that the whole market will recover very soon. Business will still continue and getting better and better,” Mr. Dai from QB fasteners Factory expressed. Most Chinese fastener suppliers attract a lot of effective global buyer in front of their booths. Some buyers also ask for quotation on spot. Some global fastener buyers were very happy to obtain ChinaFastener magazine again as a guidebook in purchasing fastener in China.
The first phase ended successfully on 19, April, 2009. It must be a harvest season for all exhibitors.
