Certain standard titanium hi-locking bolts, made by China Aerospace Science & Industry Corp., got through technical assessment recently by review committee constituted by professors from space and aviation department. The products makes magnificent breakthrough in homemade titanium hi-locking bolts and marks the great success of 3 years hard research.

 

A set fastener made by hi-locking bolt and nut is characterized by little weight, small size, strong resistance to looseness and wear and high efficiency. It can be tightened up maneuverably by one side and will find wide application in space flights and aviation. The research of titanium hi-locking bolts is very difficult because this kind is complicated in structure and has much mechanical properties and need to meet high requirements.

 

With the aim of breaking foreign countries' technology monopoly and blockade and improving the domestic fastener workmanship, the Corp. started the research work at the beginning of 2004. And the 3-year unremitting work finally gets reward. According to the assessment results, all the mechanical properties have met the requirements. The successful research fills the country blank, contributing to the domestic all- round building-up of hi-locking bolts.
