2012 National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo was grandly inaugurated today at Sands Expo and Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. ChinaFastener Magazine (booth No. 242), being the famous media in China’s fastener industry, participated in the Expo for sixth year and brought first hand information on American fastener market

National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo, jointly held by National Fastener Distributors Association and American Fastener Journal, met its 16th edition this year. In the past, the expo focused on industrial fasteners and it started to add the showcase of machinery since last year. According to Mr. Mike McGuire, chief editor of American Fastener Journal, American fastener market has been relying on the import of China’s fasteners and this dependency is going stronger and stronger; the holding of National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo provides a best platform for Chinese fastener enterprises to enter American market.

This year’s expo attracted nearly 600 enterprises with 771 booths, 70 booths increased in compared with 2010. Among of that, there were 124 exhibitors from mainland China, taking up 20% of the totals. It was estimated that this year’s expo would attracted 15,000 visitors, of which, 3510 visitors would come from Italy, Germany, Mexico, Dubai, France, India, Israel, Canada, Singapore etc. In the first day show, every aisle was filled with visitors. 

It was learned that American fastener enterprises were dominant with distributors. In this year’s expo, there were 365 exhibitors from local, accounting for 60% of the total exhibitors. Mr. Michael, representative of organizer, expressed that all the registered visitors were distributors and there was no end user, which was to protect American local distributors. Worth to mention, the Chinese exhibitors were exported-oriented and targeting the export market of America and Europe, that’s one important reason for them to exhibit in 2012 National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo. In addition, National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo, being the grand event in fastener industry, could reflect the supply and demand among America and Europe, even next year’s vicissitudes of American and European fastener market.
